The Nassau County Police Major Case Bureau arrested Christian Antonio Sepulveda Silva, age 43, of Elmont, on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Detectives say he was responsible for the following robberies:
- Sepulveda Silva entered the Bolla Mart Gas Station located at 380 Peninsula Boulevard in Hempstead on Sunday, July 28, at around 11:40 p.m., approached a male employee, demanding money and claiming that he had a gun, police say. The employee, fearing for his safety, complied with the demand, and Sepulveda Silva then fled the scene.
- The next day, on July 29, 2024, at around 2:35 a.m., Sepulveda Silva entered the Atlantic Gas Station located at 850 N. Corona Avenue in Valley Stream, walked behind the counter while brandishing a knife, and demanded cash, said police. Fearing for his safety, the employee complied with Sepulveda Silva's demands and fled.
Police also determined that Sepulveda Silva entered the United States in November 2023 through the Visa Waiver Program, which allows citizens of certain countries to travel to the United States for up to 90 days without a visa.
Sepulveda Silva has been charged with two counts of first-degree robbery.
He will be arraigned on Thursday, Nov. 7, at First District Court, ln Hempstead.
